Introduction to Menopause for Primary Care Professionals

Course Overview

This two-day Introduction to Menopause course provides a comprehensive foundation in menopause care for healthcare professionals working within Primary Care.

The programme is designed for clinicians who are developing their role in menopause consultations and wish to build structured, evidence-based knowledge aligned with NICE guidance. It supports participants in understanding the physiology of menopause, conducting safe and effective consultations, and initiating appropriate management within Primary Care settings.

The course explores the physical, psychological and long-term health implications of menopause, enabling clinicians to provide holistic, patient-centred care. Particular emphasis is placed on structured assessment, safe prescribing principles, and understanding when referral is required.
