Course Overview
This full-day interactive training session is designed for nurses and allied health professionals working within Primary Care who support women across all stages of the reproductive life course.
Using a structured life course model, the session follows a fictional patient journey from menarche through to later life, exploring key gynaecological presentations and clinical decision-making at each stage. This approach supports clinicians in understanding how hormonal physiology, reproductive milestones, and ageing influence gynaecological health.
The course integrates evidence-based guidance from NICE, CoSRH, RCOG, and other trusted national bodies. Teaching is clinically focused and designed to improve confidence in recognising common conditions, managing straightforward presentations within Primary Care, and identifying when referral is required.
This training is particularly valuable for clinicians whose roles increasingly involve women’s health but who have not undertaken formal postgraduate gynaecology training.
